Our Commitment to Inclusivity

At Neida's Event Decor, we believe that every celebration should be beautiful, safe, and welcoming to everyone. We are fully committed to ensuring our digital platforms and our physical event services are accessible and inclusive to all clients and event attendees, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities.

 

Digital Accessibility Standards

We actively work to maintain and improve the accessibility of our website. Our digital goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. [1]

To achieve this, our website features:

  • Screen Reader Compatibility: Structured layouts designed to work seamlessly with assistive audio technologies.

  • Keyboard Navigation: Full site usability without the requirement of a computer mouse.

  • Visual Clarity: Clear text contrast, legible fonts, and scalable text sizes for users with low vision. [1]

Note: While we strive for complete accessibility across our site, some third-party components (such as embedded maps or external payment portals) may have limitations outside of our direct control.

 

Event Service & Installation Standards

As a rental, prop, and decor business, we prioritize physical safety, clear path access, and sensory safety when setting up our inventory at your venue:

  • Wheelchair & Mobility Access: We install all custom backdrops, props, and marquee letters with a minimum 36-inch clear pathway around them to ensure guests using wheelchairs or walking aids can safely navigate the event space. All power cords for our curtain lights and marquee letters are covered with secure rubber ramps or industrial tape to eliminate tripping hazards and provide a smooth rolling surface.

  • Structural Safety: All heavy wooden backdrops and props are secured using flat, weighted bases to prevent accidental tipping.

  • Sensory & Photosensitivity Care: Our wooden marquee letters and curtain lights utilize steady, warm, ambient light bulbs. We strictly avoid the use of flashing, blinking, or strobing effects, unless otherwise requested, out of respect for guests with photosensitive epilepsy or sensory processing sensitivities.

  • Allergy Accommodations: We design installations using both high-quality latex and foil balloons. For events held at latex-free venues or for clients with severe latex allergies, we offer a 100% latex-free service option utilizing foil and mylar balloons exclusively.

If you are planning an event, attending an event featuring our decor, or browsing our website and require specific accommodations, please reach out to us. We request at least 14 days' notice prior to your event date to guarantee custom modifications or alternative document formats.
